Production Design Concept
ADVANTAGEOUS
In this version of ADVANTAGEOUS, I set the central family's story in an American city of the future that has been devastated by escalating imbalances of power and climate change. I used reoccurring themes - particularly class division, racism, the motif of water, and artificiality - to explore how tech and environmental health might be harnessed to further dangerous social politics and opportunity hoarding.

Note: This is also the first and last production design class project in which I utilized AI in my pitch deck, as I was experimenting with Midjourney right after it was first released. Since artificiality and the slightly uncanny nature of AI were major thematic and aesthetic points in my approach, I wanted to see what was possible with combining research, AI inspiration, and subsequent models and renderings that would have to make sense of the illogical nature of early artificial intelligence.
